Subject: Implementation of the guidelines framed by the AICTE/ UGC to Curb the menace of ragging in institutions.
The Principal or Head of the Institution/ Department shall obtain an undertaking from every employee of the institution including teaching and non –teaching members of staff contract labour employed in the premises either for running canteen or as watch and ward staff or for cleaning or maintenance of the buildings/lawns etc. that he/she would report promptly any case of ragging which comes to his /her notice. A provision has been made in the service rules for issuing certificates of appreciation to such members of the staff who report ragging which will form a part of their service record.

Anti Ragging awareness meeting was called at Gurukul College For Excellence, on 05/12/22
Following actions supposed by the committee member, are taken to prevent ragging activities inside and outside the campus
1. Display of posters for prohibition of ragging with silent features as per Govt. Act 26 of 1997.
2. Continuous monitoring students and campus related to anti-ragging awareness by the team involving teaching staff and non-teaching staff.
3. More interaction and involvement of senior students in anti-ragging awareness activities.
4. Teachers taking classes in first year are instructed not to leave the class until the next class teacher enters into the class.
5. Continuous and close monitoring of the student’s activities on the college campus and in the classroom.
6. Regular interaction the committee members with first-semester students to solve their quarries and other problem related to ragging.
7. Interacting session like Teachers day, sports meet , guest lectures, workshops & seminars will be organized regularly to improve coordination & interaction between teachers with seniors and junior students.
8. Senior students will be given opportunity to interact with juniors only after approval by principal in the presence of any responsible teacher.
9. In case of any reported ragging cases the responsible students will be punished with a fine 500/- along with one week suspension from regular classes. They will be given a show cause notice by the committee and asked to present in front of paneling body with their guardian.
10. At least one faculty members will accompany all the buses carrying first-year students.
11. Strict vigilance will be maintained by all the staff in the bus stand, canteens, etc. near the college and places where the seniors have a possible chance to mix with their juniors.
12. Outsiders will be not allowed in the college premises without permission.
